Purpose of This Reference
Texas makes many custody and release records open to the public, but a person who has left custody may vanish from a current roster. Grimes County adds another layer because the county jail is in Anderson while two TDCJ prisons, Wallace Pack and O. L. Luther Units, operate near Navasota. The Sheriff documents county booking and release events. TDCJ manages state offender information, discharge records, parole, and mandatory supervision. Grimes County Adult Probation handles court-ordered community supervision, and the BOP locator covers sentenced federal prisoners. This site arranges the official record sources, offender searches, supervision routes, and request procedures by the agency responsible for each event.

Limits of Our Role
Grimes County Released Inmates is a private reference site. It is not connected with Grimes County, a Texas sheriff, a jail, TDCJ, a court, or any other government agency.
- We cannot release, detain, or transfer any person.
- We cannot post a bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for a visitor.
- We do not provide legal advice or decide what a court record means for a case.
- We cannot confirm custody or guarantee that an address, phone number, fee, or office hour has not changed.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or records custodian can confirm an official status or supply the originating record.
